Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi insists the Super Eagles are ready for their crunch Group C game against Ethiopia on Today.
Nigeria currently sit equal second in the group after draws against Burkina Faso and Zambia, with Ethiopia in last place with just one point to show from their opening two games.
Keshi is happy with how his men have applied themselves in preparation for the game.
“I want to recognise my team about preparation for tomorrow’s game, we have been working very hard,” he said.
“We have been talking to one another, and the spirit is high in the camp. I like what I am seeing with my players, so I think we are ready.”
Keshi has a full squad to select from and is positive whoever he calls upon will be up to the challenge.
He also urged Nigerian fans to have faith in his side despite the fact they could be heading for an early exit from the tournament.

“I think everybody is ready, everybody is ready to go, and it is just a question of the coach’s selection. That will take place, otherwise every member of my team is ready to go,” Kehsi declared.
“It’s going to be OK tomorrow (Tuesday). That is the only thing I can tell Nigerian fans that they don’t need to worry, all they need to do is just pray for no injuries, good health for the kids and they will come out and do their best tomorrow.”
Meanwhile, Despite a slim chance of making the next round of the competition, Ethiopia coach Sewnet Bishaw says his team remain hopeful that they will still reach the quarterfinals, hinging his optimism on victory over Nigeria.
Both sides will play in one of the last Group C matches at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium, Rusttenburg today by 6pm (Nigeria time).
Bishaw said, “We forgot about the 4-0 defeat immediately after getting to our hotel and concentrated on the match against Nigeria. We had our chances and missed them and when Adane Girma and Asrat Megersa got injured, we knew we would have problems because the substitutes could not do as expected. They were important players for us,” Bishaw said during a press conference on Monday.
“We have nothing to prove against Nigeria because we did well against the champions Zambia in our first group match and drew 1-1. We did not expect a huge disaster against Burkina Faso so we have great hopes that we can beat Nigeria on Tuesday.”(today).
Let's wait and see...Nigeria might just win today, who knows...heaven might smile on them.
