Just because he wanted to stop the State House of Assembly from summoning the boss, at the Nassarawa State Independent Electoral Commission for questioning, the Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of the state, Mr. Innocent Lagi, jumped over the fence of the Assembly complex after been denied from entering into the complex by security men stationed at the complex.
Mr Lagi had wanted to pass to the house leadership a court injunction restraining them from summoning the states electoral chairman for questioning on electoral matters in the state. But before he got to the House premises, the electoral chairman and his commissioners had already answered to the summon by the House.

The commissioner was detained for about 40 minutes after the incident, at the Assembly’s security post before he was taken away in an armored personnel carrier.
