OBASANJO COMES FOR JONATHA'S JUGULAR AGAIN!


The fight between Obasanjo and the presidency is not going to stop anytime soon.
He had previously blasted Jonathan and the National Assembly members, calling them corrupt lots, and the presidency replied him. 
Obasanjo isnt taking the presidency's reply lying down. he has fired his own reply, 

“Management of democracy without resorting to brute force and dictatorial tendencies must be cultivated,” the former President said.
“As a leader, you must not deliberately do evil or condone evil. You should know that you will one day give account to God, you may cover up here, but before God, there is no cover up.”

The former president also spoke at lenght on the President’s handling of the Boko Haram insurgency, ‎corruption, the economy and youth unemployment.
On insecurity, Mr. Obasanjo said Boko Haram is not out to “frustrate anyone’s political efforts” and lamented that it took Mr. Jonathan the years to ‎fully understand the menace.
On corruption, Mr. Obasanjo said, “when the head is rotten, the whole body is useless”
On the economy, he said Nigeria would continue to sink deeper and that what Nigerians are told about the state of the economy “is not truly what the economy is”.
“The economy is in doldrums, if not in reverse,” he said.
**But why is Obasanjo not talking to Jonathan privately on how to stop this evil, why all these back and forth open letters**

PDP IS A RELIGION OF POVERTY-OSUN STATE GOV. AREGBESOLA.

The newly sworn in Osun Governor, Aregbesola has dissed PDP. he says the party is synonymous to poverty.. whole delivering his speech as the governor, he said


“Lest we forget, the religion of PDP is poverty. Nigeria is saturated with leaders who are ever so quick to parade platitudes of their respective religion – denying its faith, essence and positive values.
“However, what we need at this time are God-fearing and incorruptible leaders who will galvanize our people and judiciously husband our resources to overcome our challenges. We must terminate the regime of self-seeking manipulators who currently parade corridors of power, accruing political profit by turning us against each other and further dividing us along ethnic and religious lines.”

**but with all these money flowing in and out of PDP members pocket, they are not poor oh..they just leave people poor, in their wake..i mean when they pass through a place, the place would have been syphoned of all its resources!** 
About 35 people feared dead in explosions near Mubi


Isnt Mubi supposed to be general Badeh's home town, and these boko boys are killing people with such impunity, not caring if they get the general ''angry'' or not.. and why is the general not mad with all these atrocities, Thirty-five people, including five soldiers and a local hunter, were feared killed in the bomb explosion that rocked the Maraba–Mubi area of Adamawa...Maraba is about 18 kilometers to Mubi.
One would think that these 'generals' would have been tired of these killings, an would have found solutions to eradicating this menace by now.
But when soldiers run in from boko haram, what should 'bloody' civilians do..

COURT OREDRS THE SSS TO REOPNE APC DATA CENTRE.


Remember the APC data warehouse that was sealed off by SSS madam, Olga last week, well court has mandated the SSS to re-open the  warehouse.
The SSS had claimed that illegal/unwholesome activities was going on in the office, and that they acted on a tip-off, ransacking then place before sealing off . A Federal High Court in Lagos, has  ordered the State Security Service, SSS, to unseal the warehouse used by the All Progressives Congress, APC, as data centre.
Justice Mohammed Yunusa also granted an interim order restraining the SSS from further shutting party’s data office or taking any step in connection with the property pending the determination of the substantive suit...

RIVERS STATE APC ENDORSES PETERSIDE AS GOVERNORSHIP ASPIRANT

The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in Rivers state has chosen a member of the House of Representatives, Dakuku Peterside, to fly the party’s flag at the February 2015 governorship election in the state.
Mr. Peterside emerged the preferred candidate after a meeting of the party’s caucus, which held at the Government House, Port Harcourt, on Wednesday.
Mr. Peterside is the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Petroleum (Downstream).
His colleague at the Senate, Magnus Abe, who is incidentally the Chairman Senate Committee on Petroleum (Downstream) and from the same state, was widely expected to be the party’s candidate in the February election.
Sources said Mr. Abe was present at Wednesday’s meeting where Mr. Peterside was endorsed.

NIGERIAN POLICE SAYS THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR BUNGLED BOMBER'S PROSECUTION.



The Nigerian police has cried out, that its not their fault that Ogwuche, Nyanya bomb blast mastermind is walking  free.
In a statement released by the police, part of it reads;

“For the record, at no time did the Nigeria Police arraign the suspect in court for terrorism related offences,” a spokesperson for the police, Emmanuel Ojukwu, said in statement. “Moreover, the purported prosecution/arraignment by the Police could not have happened as the Police could not prosecute a suspect it never arrested, never investigated nor had in its custody.”

**so the police has washed its hands off the Ogwuche case. its not between the IG, the Attorney General of Nigeria, and the SSS**


APC SLAMS IG FOR INSULTING NATIONAL ASSEMBLY MEMBERS.


In a statement issued in Osogbo on Thursday by its National Publicity Secretary, Lai Mohammed, the party said by refusing to recognize a Speaker who was duly elected by 360 members of the House of Representatives, and a Speaker who has neither been impeached by those who elected him nor removed by the Court, the police boss has thumbed his nose at the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
”As the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Tambuwal is the symbol of authority of the House and our country’s number four citizen. By saying he does not recognize him as the Speaker, the IG has also indicated he does not recognize the entire House of Representatives. For a man who was not elected by anybody to make this impertinent assertion about elected representatives of the people is tantamount to treason. Mr. Abba has shunned all pretences to neutrality, professionalism and decency and he is no longer fit to occupy the important office of the IG,” it said.
**This fight is not stopping anytime soon, i presume!**

OBASANJO IS A LIAR-SENATE REPLIES


The senate is angry at Obasanjo for calling them thieves and looters. they have said all Obasanjo's claims are pure lies!.
The spokesperson for the Senate, Enyinnaya Abaribe, said in a statement that Mr. Obasanjo’s claim about constituency project funds was an outright lie aimed at misinforming Nigerians.
​“The allegation as spurious as it were. Its very distant from the truth and is nowhere near reality,” Mr. Abaribe said.​
“President Obasanjo for the avoidance of doubt, was the initiator of the constituency project in the year 2000 as a means of ensuring that projects were fairly spread across the country using the Senatorial zones as the spring board.
“To ensure execution of the projects, President Obasanjo again factored the constituency projects into the annual budgets to be implemented by the executive depending on availability of funds. That is to say that no lawmaker ever comes close to the funds or even determine the contractor for the said projects or when the said contract would be awarded,”
Abaribe said it was curious that Mr. Obasanjo would turn around after over 10 years of initiating such a project to accuse the National Assembly of misusing such money.
“Such allegation stands logic on its head, as it amounts to an indictment of the Presidency for wilfully contravening the budget laws by ceding its power to execute to the National Assembly, if it was the case,” he said.
 “It will also help to clear the allegation once and for all, if any presidency official not only from the time past but currently, could come forward and explain the true position of the so called constituency projects. Doing so would at least set the records straight.”
