Nigeria Govt declares October 1st as public holiday.

The federal government of Nigeria has declared next thursday, 1st of October as a public holiday.
This is in commemoration of the nation's 55th year independence. The  declaration was made by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Interior, Abubakar Magaji, on behalf of the FG in a statement signed by the ministry’s Director of Press, Yusuf Isiaka.
