7 year old boy beaten and burnt to death in Lagos for stealing..

I just saw this on Facebook and i am shocked to my bones.
This 7 year old boy was alleged to have stolen(some said Garri, some said he stabbed someone)
Some are also not in agreement with the age. but when does age determine who to be killed and who not to? What has robbed us of our humanity that we now feel its okay to kill some people of a certain age because they did us wrong?
No matter what it is the boy/man stole, what should warrant beating a person this horribly, and then doing the unthinkable?
What is wrong with people, where is our conscience?
i am so shocked and stunned and sad, and ...my emotions are just all over the place.
